Quarantine Cheese Burger
Prep: 5 mins
Cook: 10 mins
Total: 15 mins
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- dash salt
- dash pepper
- 4 hamburger buns (see recipe)
- 4 strips of bacon
- 1 1/3 cups lettuce
- 8 slices of cheese (4 American,4 cheddar)
- 1 to 2 slices of red onion, separated
- 8 pickles (your choice)
- mayo
- ketchup
- mustard
Directions:
- Preheat your indoor grill or skillet to high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into eight even portions (3 ounces each). Roll each portion into a ball, then press each ball flat to form a patty about the same diameter as a bun.
- Grill/Cook the patties for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until done. Lightly salt and pepper each side of the patties.
- As the meat cooks, brown the faces of the buns in a hot skillet. Watch the buns closely so that they do not burn.
- Build each burger by first spreading mayo and mustard on the face of the bottom bun. Arrange lettuce on top of spread.
- Put one patty with American cheese on top of lettuce, followed by another patty with cheddar cheese, then bacon.
- On the top bun spread ketchup and top with 2 pickles and 2-3 onion slices.
- Turn the top part of the burger over onto the bottom and serve with fries*. (*see recipe)
